I'm looking forward to hosting you 😊 I've put quite a bit of effort into making the place nice for AirBnB so please look after it 🙏🏼 The earliest check in is 3pm. Checkout is 11am. Here's some information that will help you get around the flat. Most of these are straightforward, the general rule of thumb is that I would expect you to treat my flat as you would your own: take the shoes off when in the flat, don’t smoke inside the flat (but you can smoke in the roof garden), avoid playing loud music after 10pm etc... There is wardrobe space in both rooms cleared out for you. 🚪Doors Access is via a keypad and code. Very simple. You will receive details for this a few days before. Please note that my apartment door doesn't lock by itself, *so please lock when leaving* 🔑 🚘 Parking There is paid on street residents parking - I'm happy to book and cover the cost of this for you. But you will need to tell me in advance so I can register the virtual permit with the council. 🌡Heating You can control the heating in each room individually using the thermostat on the radiator. Simply turn the dial on it. 🎵 Music & Lights Please refer to the flat manual (http://corley.me/manual.pdf) ☕️ Coffee & Food There is a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules supplied. Tea, as well as mugs, can be found in the cupboards in the kitchen. Please feel free to make use of the spices and condiments. Feel free to use store cupboard items within reason. Anything in the fridge is fair game 🍸 🪣 Appliances In the kitchen, you have an oven, stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster & blender, which are all easy to use. Happy to share cooking tips :) There's also a library of cookbooks which you're more than welcome to use! 📽 Projector Please refer to the flat manual (http://corley.me/manual.pdf) 🚮 Waste and Recycling: Trash/rubbish bin is hidden in the corner cupboard. If you want to take rubbish out the bins are on your left as you go out the door to the building. 📍The postcode of the flat is SE1 5LJ. The flat is on the 3rd floor at the end of the corridor. You will receive full address details in due course. 🧡 Finally, This is my home when I’m not travelling, so I’ve tried to make it cosy and welcoming for you too. If it's your first time in London, I'd highly recommend downloading an app called CityMapper for navigating public transport. It has all the options on it and it very upto date and accurate 🚎 🚉

Hi Athar, can you tell me where you are travelling from? Also, if you're flying I can give you tips for getting to my apartment from the airport 😊

To get to my flat from Heathrow Airport I'd say the underground is best. You can get the Elizabeth Line (purple) to Bond Street and then the Jubilee Line (grey) to Bermondsey, then it's a 13min walk. You pay for the underground using any contactless credit or debit card - there is no need to buy tickets. I'd also highly recommend downloading an app called CityMapper for navigating public transport in London, it's by far the most accurate. If you want to get a taxi it will be approximately £60 if you don't use the airport taxis. Uber operates in London. However, there are two other competitors to Uber which are usually cheaper: FreeNow and Bolt. I find FreeNow is usually cheapest.

Will you be requiring the sofa for sleeping as well as the two (double and superking) beds? Let me know in advance so I can arrange extra linen. Please note that it isn't a sofa bed. However, it's a large comfortable sofa to sleep on - I can attest to that myself😊 Thanks!

Hello Athar, Yes, London remains safe for tourists. Although there are occasionally demonstrations or protests (as in any large city), these are usually peaceful and well-controlled by police. Most occur in specific areas of the center like Westminster and don’t affect the normal life of the city. My apartment is in Bermondsey, which is a quiet residential area away from the areas where protests typically occur. Public transport also continues to operate normally. I would recommend staying informed through local news and apps like Citymapper that will alert you about any transport disruptions if there are any.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Hope you're looking forward to your stay in two days time! Check in is simple: 1. When you get to the building buzz flat 1️⃣3️⃣ on the intercom. The door will open automatically. 2. Flat 13 is on floor 3, right at the end. Use code 🔐 663661 🔐 to open my flat door. **When you leave, press the ◀️ 'back' button on the keypad to lock the door.** (if for some reason the digital lock doesn't work there is a *backup physical key* in the top right key safe, to the right hand side of the garage door & bins, outside the building. Here's some details to help you locate my flat: Flat 13, Sultan House, 238 Saint James Road, SE1 5LJ The entrance to my building is actually on Lynton Road, just off St James Road on the crossroads. The entrance to my flat is on floor 3. Come up the lift and go straight ahead right to the end of the corridor and the flat is on your left. (please arrive on or after your 3pm check-in time unless we've agreed otherwise).

Hi Athar, I have now purchased virtual visitor parking permit from the council for the duration of your stay (these are also valid for the full 24 hours on the day of checkin and checkout). You just need to make sure you park in a permit holders only bay on the street. I understand that it can be frustrating if there are problems sending messages. Airbnb has policies that ask us to communicate through this medium to protect both of us. To send me a photo through Airbnb, follow these steps: 1. At the bottom where you write the message, you’ll see a camera icon or a “+” sign 2. Tap that icon and select “Camera” or “Gallery” 3. If you choose camera, take the photo directly. If you choose gallery, select the photo you want to send 4. Once the photo is selected, tap “Send” I’m willing to help you even if it’s 12 at night, but you can also see if someone in the house can help you with the process if you’re having technical difficulties.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I’m waiting for the photo to be able to help you better. As soon as I know which specific plant you’re talking about, I’ll immediately contact someone so they can remove it from the apartment. If you wish, you can also ask one of the other guests to remove it temporarily. They can place it on the terrace without any problem so it’s no longer a bother to you while the permanent solution arrives.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​✨

Thank you for sending the photo. Now I can see which plant you’re talking about.😊 Let me explain: this is a plant called “airplane plant” (Chlorophytum comosum) and it’s actually alive. It’s a medicinal plant known for helping the immune and respiratory systems, and it acts as a natural air purifier. The leaves you see with that appearance are completely normal for this time of year - the plant is making its natural seasonal change, but it’s definitely not dead. In fact, you can see it still has many healthy green leaves. In any case, if you prefer it not to be near you during your stay, you can easily move it to places where you don’t need to be, like the terrace or some corner you don’t use frequently.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
