Hola, Marcus. Espero que estés bien. Estamos buscando alojamiento para el año que viene durante la Maratón de Londres y nos preguntábamos qué tal están las conexiones de transporte y cuál es el aeropuerto más cercano, por favor. Saludos cordiales, Leanne

Hi! Thank you for your enquiry 😊 Bermondsey tube station (on the Jubilee Line) is a 13min walk away from the flat. The postcode of the flat is SE1 5LJ. I'd highly recommend downloading an app called CityMapper for navigating public transport in London. It has all the options on it and it very upto date and accurate. You can pay for all public transport in London just using any contactless bank card. Or you can buy and Oystercard.

Heathrow and Standsted airports are quite similar distance from the flat

To get to my flat from Heathrow Airport I'd say the underground is best. You can get the Elizabeth Line (purple) to Bond Street and then the Jubilee Line (grey) to Bermondsey, then it's a 13min walk. You pay for the underground using any contactless credit or debit card - there is no need to buy tickets. I'd also highly recommend downloading an app called CityMapper for navigating public transport in London, it's by far the most accurate. If you want to get a taxi it will be approximately £60 if you don't use the airport taxis. Uber operates in London. However, there are two other competitors to Uber which are usually cheaper: FreeNow and Bolt. I find FreeNow is usually cheapest.

Standsted airport is quite a distance outside London. To get to my flat you've got two options: train & tube or a taxi. To get the train you will get the Standsted Express to Liverpool Street. You can easily buy a ticket for this in the airport. You will then need to get Victoria Line on the underground to Green Park and change to the Jubilee Line to get to Bermondsey. It's then a 13min walk. Again 😅 I'd *highly recommend* downloading an app called CityMapper - it's by far the best app for navigating public transport in London. The postcode of my flat is SE1 5LJ. The Stansted Express is quite expensive (total cost of the above journey per person is £23). It may be more cost effective to get a privatre hire taxi which will cost around £80. Uber operates in London and there is also a competitor to Uber called FreeNow which is usually cheaper than Uber. Hope this helps. Any questions let me know, but the CityMapper app is your friend for travel in London ☺️
